Becoming a Farmstay Host can be as rewarding for you as it is for your visitors. The friendships that are built in such a short time are quite special and often long term. Your visitors quite often become attached to you and are often reluctant to leave.
WHAT IS EXPECTED OF A FARM HOST
You are renumerated well for your service. In return, we ask that you provide a safe and enjoyable experience for your guest. Upon arrival, you will welcome your guests into your family, include them in your day to day activities and offer them an insight into Farmlife. Getting them involved as soon as they arrive can help to break down the cultural barriers and any shyness.
If you don’t have enough activities on your farm you can take them for a picnic, to the local markets, visit the Sunflower fields, feed the birds at Queen Mary Falls or visit your neighbouring farms. There is so much you can do. We ask that you do 3 – 4 activities a day.
