Our website uses enquiry forms to capture the interests of future farmstay hosts and farmstay visitors. The personal data is collected upon submission of the forms. We keep the information for approximately 10 years for customer service purposes. We may use your contact information to send you updates and marketing material about the Farmlife Farmstay service.
Contact forms
Some of your personal data is captured when you submit our contact form on this website. We keep contact form submissions for approximately 10 years for customer service purposes, but we do not use the information submitted through them for marketing purposes.

Who we share your data with
As part of the farmstay service offered we are required to share the names and addresses of our host families with the students and their families, and in return the students and their family information is shared with the host family. This is so we can provide our hosting service and so that every participant (host families, students and student families) know who and where they are to stay and that the host families know who are coming to stay in their homes.
How long we retain your data
We retain records of farmstay participants, both students, their families and host families, for a period of 10 years.
What rights you have over your data
If you have submitted your personal information to us, whether through the contact form or through a farmstay application form, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where we send your data
Personal data of our host families is only sent to the agency we use in offering the farmstay hosting service and then it is passed on to the participating school and then is passed onto the students family. Your information is only shared through the channel of communication between specific families that will be connected through the service. Your information is not shared with any other service or family that is not a part of the specific farmstay visit you have agreed to participate in. Similarly, a participating students information is passed onto the agency, then passed onto us and then we send it to the host family. Your data is not shared with any other third parties, beyond those noted above as is required for the farmstay service to be fulfilled.
